Kodak Rainbow Hawk-eye Camera
(1929-1933)
Kodak Rainbow Hawk-eye Cameras
These were cardboard box cameras that came in various colors, maroon, green, blue, brown and "vermillion" (bright red). This model camera was very similar to the Cartridge Hawk-Eye Camera. In 1930, Kodak issued a special edition (shown second from the left) to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Eastman Kodak Company.

It was tan colored with a gold foil seal affixed to the upper corner of the right side of the camera. Reportedly, over 500,000 were given away to kids 12 years of age. The current collector's book value in like new condition with original box: $65-$100, more commonly found condition: $20-$30.
