Hit Type Camera
This class of subminiature camera is commonly referred to as "Hit Types" because it was one of the first and most popular of names for this type. Although they all appear to be the same, each different model has its subtle differences. Most have black leatherette and chrome bodies with various model names, while other models have gold metal and/or colored leatherette. These more colorful touches add another $12-$20 to the book value. Recent and more common models are the lowest priced at $12-$20 while the uncommon names command $30-$50. The basic book value for most Hit Type cameras is $20-$30.(1947-1960s) |
