Kodak Brownie Hawkeye Flash Camera (1950-1961) |
A plastic box camera with flash synchronization and range finder, the Kodak Brownie Hawkeye Flash camera has simple shutter and lens and uses type 620 roll film. Outfit came with camera and flash, flash bulbs, roll of film, batteries and instructions. Collector's value: $5 +/-, if camera alone, $10-$20 with complete outfit.
A less common model, Brownie Hawkeye Camera (1949-1951), was identical to the Brownie Hawkeye Flash Camera but didn't have flash synchronization. Collector's value: $10-20. It's interesting to note that another variation of this camera was made for the French market called the "Brownie Hawkeye Flash Model" and was made in France. It's identical to the Brownie Hawkeye Flash Camera but on the front nameplate it reads "Brownie Flash Camera Made In France". Collector's value: $20-$40. |
