Polaroid Sonar
One-Step Pronto Camera (1978-84) Constructed of rigid molded plastic looking much like the One-Step, The Button, and Pronto (no sonar), etc... Uses SX-70 Time Zero film, but has the addition of Polaroid's sonar technology built into the front of the camera next to the lens. The sonar unit would automaticly focus the lens onto your subject. Sonar is the sending out of sound waves and measuring their return times as they reflect off of objects they strike. This camera also had the ability of full manual focus and has both a tripod socket and a cable-release socket. The Pronto w/sonar: $30-$55. Pronto without sonar: $10-$20. With ITT electronic flash, add $20 (all models). |
